Hello,
Welcome to healthcare magic.
Melacare cream contains mometasone which is a steroid formulation, which over long term can cause side effects. The skin gets used to it and on stopping after 2 months of use, you can have burning, redness and scaling of skin.
To prevent this, you could reduce its application to twice a week and keep in contact only for 2-3 hours in the evening on those days. After 2-3 weeks , reduce the application to just once a week and again, wash it off after 2-3 hours of contact.
Use a sunscreen in the mornings and afternoon. Do not re use it again.
Hope this helps you.
Take care.
