Is It Possible To Have Glaucoma Despite Normal Eye Pressure?
Is it possible for me to have glaucoma despite normal eye pressure? I have severe keratitis -- blepharitis that is unresponsive to cortosteroid drops so far (3 kinds) and I m on oral doxycycline 100 mg cap 2x a day day 8 of 45 I have pressure constant behind the right eye and 20/50 vision from what was 20/20
A normal eye pressure can exclude glaucoma. The pressure behind the eye could be related to local inflammation. I recommend performing a brain MRI in case your symptoms persist. You should discuss with your doctor on the above tests.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
