Is It Okay To Play Soccer With Bronchitis?

Is it okay to play soccer with bronchitis? I had tonsillitis 3 weeks ago and never got better so I went back to the doctors yesterday and he said I have pharingytis and bronchitis and If i get another infection I'll have to get chest X-rays and tests done. I'm in preseason/season for soccer. Is it okay to play?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
If you can comfortably play than there is no issue in playing soccer
Due to pharyngitis or bronchitis you might be having difficulty in breathing or other problems so you will not be able to perform better.

In my opinion you should do steam inhalation and deep breathing exercises along with gargling with warm saline water or antiseptic mouth wash .

In my opinion you should take rest until you recover fully.
Hope this answers your question
Best wishes
