Is It Okay To Fly With Fractured Skull?

My son sustained a 4 inch linear fracture on the back of his skull a couple of days ago. There was no bleeding or brain swelling, and other than a headache, he seems ok so he was sent home with me. I have a trip planned for Sep 3 where we will be flying on a plane for 5 hours. Is it ok for him to take the trip and fly?

Hello,

That sound it's mostly caused by bubbles formed into the neck articulations.

Since you feel symptoms related to body and head position, it may indicate also instability of your cervical spine, seen mostly in degenerative changes.

Discuss with your Doctor, and get x-rays of your cervical spine in order to understand better your condition.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
