Is It Okay To Do A Biopsy To Remove A Fatty Tissue?

was diagnosed with lipomas on my head the dermatologist sent me to the plastic surgeon to have the small egg size tumors removed .when the dr. opened these up he said it was not a tumor it was fatty tissue that he couldot remove without a 5to 6 inch incision and he said he would not do it unless my head got bad deformed, he did do biopsy and sewed them back up. have you ever heard of this ? Dear Friend
Welcome to Health Care Magic. I am Dr Anshul Varshney.
Lipomas need not to be excised or remove surgically if they are not creating any deformity or mass effect.
It's good that since your doctor had given an incision so he took a biopsy.
Wait for biopsy report. If it comes out to be lipoma you can simply ignore it.
If you could send me a photograph of that swelling I could have given you a better description.
Good luck
