Is It Okay Have Beer After Taking Xanax For Anxiety?

ok, i usually take about 0.5 or 0.75 milligrams of xanax a day... to day my anxiety was really bad so i had 1.5 milligrams today.. thats like more than double of what i usually take... is it safe for me to have a couple beers?? 7pm was the last dose of xanax i had, and iv e been drinking for years with a good tolerance.

Hello,

a regular user of benzodiazepines and alcohol would probably handle the increased dosage. Despite that, caution is required and concurrent alcohol consumption is discouraged because you may experience increased central nervous system side effects which may cause accidents and other untoward events.
