Is It Ok To Give Polio Vaccine Twice?
Hi Doctor,My daughter is now 6years old, and as i remember when she was 5 old given the polio vaccine in saudi arabia, but in log book we couldn t find the proper information whether we given not ?Now she is in Srilanks So kindly advise me is it ok if Give polio again OPV twise ?

There is no harm in giving the polio vaccine twice.
As per Advisory Committee for Immunization Practices (ACIP) recommendation, an additional dose must be given at age 4-6 years, even if the child is previously immunized against polio disease as repeated vaccination enhances the child's ability to resist the polio disease
So, it should be given as and when required when the cyclical pulse polio campaign comes around.
