Is It Normal To Notice A Lump Post Pacemaker Surgery?

I had pacemaker surgery 10 days ago and I have a 2 diameter lump that protrudes about 1/2 and is hard. I ve been on Coumadin for 11 Months and Amiodarone for 2 week prier to surgery, my INR was 4.3 at time of surgery and they gave me vitamin K but 2 days later I had bruising that went down my arm and chest to my sternum. Is this normal

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The bruising is likely related to the high INR. Increased INR implies that the blood is thin and there is an increased risk of bleeding.

Vitamin K can be given to improve clotting and decrease the risk of bleeding.

The bruising is related to bleeding from small blood vessels. With appropriate supplementation of vitamin k and subsequent decline in INR, your risk of further bleeding should be reduced.

I hope this helps
