Is It Normal To Have Vaginal Bleeding After Menopause?

I have been in menopause for three years--meaning I have not had a cycle since Jan 2011. My night sweats and hot flashes have tapered off to about maybe one a day/every other day; my night sweats wake me up only once or twice a week. This is down from approx two or three a night.....I am 45 yrs old. Yesterday I noticed some spotting and today it seems to be similar to a very light period. Is this normal? Should I call my doctor. Also my breasts have been very tender for about three weeks. What do I do?

Hello.,

It would be better you go for an ultrasound to check the cause of bleeding. Any kind of bleeding after menopause is not normal.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
