Is It Normal To Have The Metallic Taste In Mouth During Cough And Cold?

when I cough & sneeze it tastes like metal. I have also shortness of breathe. I am nebulizing and now taking Augmentin. I am getting prednisone cause my breathing is getting harder and wheezing. Is it normal to have that taste and is the antibiotics going to fix this?

Hello
I share your concern
Metallic taste could be related to URTI or number of other reasons
Since you are already taking a course of antibiotics so it will.be alright if it is associated with infection.

In my opinion prednisone is not required or recommended in routinely in case of cold
If you can provide me more related information like your age and relevant medical history so that I will be able to tell you more accurately

meanwhile do take steam inhalation and deep breathing exercises.
Gargling with warm saline water or antiseptic month wash.
you can take antihistamines nasal spray for sneezing and nasal congestion.

Please feel free to ask for follow up questions I will be happy to help you.
Best wishes
