Is It Normal To Have Severe Pain In Stomach Area After Gallbladder Surgery?

I had gallbladder surgery 5 weeks ago, I am having a constant, sometimes severe pain in the upper right stomach area. Under the rib cage, through to the back, unable to take a breath at all, and in the last couple weeks, i have an involuntary breath intake. I just suck in a quick breath involuntarily.

Hello,

Postcholecystectomy right hypochondriac pain may be due to insufficient healed scar or infection or postcholecystectomy syndrome or cholangitis etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.

Get it done ultrasound abdomen and Consult your treating doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
