Is It Normal To Have Regular Blood Flow After Mirena Removal?

I recently had a Mirena removed, 3/13/12. On 3/16/12 I had a very brief, half day episodeof bright red blood . Sunday I started having copious amounts of blood with clots. I did not have aperiod the whole five years I had Mirena so I expect a heavyperiod now, but I am going through a regular tampon in an hour, should I beseen?
