Is It Normal To Have Pus Discharge From Nipple?

I have a friend that went to the clinic over the weekend because she had pus coming out of one niple the doctor was in a rush and told her it was normal. She also has a yeast infection all over her groin area and she wondered if the two might be connected but the doctor did not have time to exam her that much. My question is: is pus really a normal thing in all my life I have never had that problem. She told me it does not hurt is not warm or red.

Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is not normal to have pus coming out of the breast nipple. It usually relates to an infection whether it is just a superficial infection or involving deeper breast tissue.

The yeast infection in the groin area is not likely related.

She should consider re visiting her doctor for evaluation of both problems.

I hope this helps
