Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is It Normal To Have Pressure Around Public Bone While On Treatment For UTI?
I went to the dr and he treated me for a uti and told me that is what came up when he tested my urine. He gave me cipro and I feel a little better but I stil feel pressure by my pubic bone. Could he have diagnosed me wrong? Should I go back? I went to the dr yesterday .
What are the other symptoms associated? Any dysuria or frequent urge to urinate? UTI may be associated with discomfort over lower abdominal/pubic area. Since test was suggestive, no need to go back now. Lets continue same drugs as suggested. You can take paracetamol, or ibuprofen if severe, to control pain. If there is no improvement in 3 days, we can evaluate further. Also, drink plenty of fluids.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
