Is It Normal To Have Orange Jelly Like Substance From Anus At 9 Months Of Pregnancy?

Hello. I am 9 months pregnant and due anytime. I have noticed i am going to the toilet alot which i know is normal but i am also getting sharp pains in my bum that result in me unable to stand straight until they have passed. I guess this is due to pressure from the babiea head. Over the past week i have also been wiping away small amounts of orange jelly like substance from the anus when going to the toilet? Is this normal? What is it?

Hi,
Thanks for consulting us.
No, this cannot be taken as normal. Some pregnant ladies develop hemorrhoids during pregnancy, which may result in bleeding through anus. This usually disappears after delivery. Anyway, report this to your Gynecologist & get yourself examined. If necessary your doctor will refer you to a surgeon for expert opinion. In addition, please do a stool DR test to evaluate this discharge.
Wish you good health.
Take care.
