Depo shots are known to give rise to metallic taste in mouth in some cases who are prone to it, although this symptom might wean off of its own. However, use of depo shots are not a guarantee against getting unsuspected pregnancy which could also give rise to such symptom in the mouth in some. As urine test is not a confirmatory test for detecting pregnancy, I would recommend a serum HCG test for you to rule out an early pregnancy, and also an ultrasound of pelvis if advised and considered essential by your treating doctor. Only symptomatic treatment and some dietary modifications as advised by a dietician is required in such cases.
