Is It Normal To Have Light Periods And Then Heavy Periods After Undergoing Hysterosalpingogram (HSG)?

I had spotting days before my hsg.Then went for my hsg,started bleeding from that day which they said was normal.after 2days of getting light period then I started to bleed heavily for 4days.Now the heavy bleeding has stopped its only spotting.what is the matter.

After HSG, the slight bleeding can happen due to the dilatation of cervix that is done. Since the procedure is done immediately after the periods, a heavy bleeding like periods is not expected.
