Is It Normal To Have Left Eye Pupil Bigger Than Right Eye Pupil?
HELLO, I just noticed that my left eye pupil is bigger than the right eye. I don t have any blurry vision right now...Is that something to be concerned with? I am 61 years old, diabetic... have had a little double vision... (going to the neurologist next week) have had high cholesterol this past 6 months. thanks
Normally the size of the pupil is same for both eyes. It changes due to an underlying cause. You are a diabetic which is a neuropathy condition .So it affects the vessels supplying the iris and which in turn affect the muscles of iris.As a result the tone of the muscles of the iris changes and the constrictor muscle lose their strength. So the dilating muscle gets stronger and the unequality of size of pupil occurs. And since you are having problem with vision and cholesterol and high blood sugar better to consult a doctor as early as possible.
