Is It Normal To Have Excessive Bleeding Every Month During The Periods ?

My daughter has been to gynecologist in Warsaw NY and she bleed so much every month they gave a pill to stop my monthly period they started her on the pill Dec 19th but she is bleeding all the time and her period is do again and when she has it she bleed heavy for 7 days.
Her PC doctor told me something else is going on and to go see someone else. I have passed out and was in Strong Hospital's ER. But no one is taking on new clients right now. Her one told her it's normal. Is it?
