I am 33 weeks pregnant and have been experiencing Braxton Hicks contractions for a couple of weeks, along with some back pains. The last three days theses symptoms have gotton worse and I have had diarrhea also. Are these symptoms normal this early in pregnancy and what do they mean?

Dear member,
Thanks for writing to healthcare magic.
These symptoms can sometimes be associated with preterm contractions. Not all preterm contractions are painful.
I would recommend that you visit your obgyn for a pelvic examination. If any changes are noted in the cervical length or dilatation you may require drugs and rest to stop preterm pains.
thanks
