Is it normal to have bad dizzy spells when born with pancreatic lipase deficiency ?

Hi, My daughter was born with pancreatic lipase deficiency. Charlotte is now 23 but has been suffering with bad dizzy spells.. however giving her chocolate n fizzy drinks helps her regulate. Charlotte can no longer drink alcohol as it goes through her body within1 -4 min. And has caused her to foul herself once.

I went in to urgent care for a gastroenteritis, diarr__, however you spell it. Was feeling bad. She put me on Bactrim for a week, told me to stay hydrated, did an IV to replenish electrolytes and did basic bloodwork - Blood count and metabolic panel. Everything for the most part was normal on the bloodwork except the lipase was 106. On this lab s scale, the range was 7 to 60. I looked on the webmd and the nomal range for lipase is 10-140. There is no history of pancreatitis in the family and my bloodwork is always pretty normal. I am feeling better after only 2 days of the Bactrim. That probably isn t a big deal, is it?

Which of the following is a feature of the lipoprotein lipase enzyme? 1. Its activity can always increase but cannot decrease and is, in part, controlled by the ratchet effect of metabolism 2. Its activities in men and women are sex-related and explain the differences in major fat storage regions of the body 3. Its low activity in obese people explains, in part, the inability to mobilize storage fat for energy when following an energy-restricted diet 4. Its activity decreases after weight loss but then rebounds quickly after resuming normal food intake

I have UC and now is active. Taking Uceris now. Two weeks ago had pancritic is and stay in hospital for 3 days. The enzyme was normal when I came home. I was taking sulfasulezine and Dr s thought it might be this med. and changes it to Uceis. After 2 weeks I did another blood test and enzyme Lipase is 4425. No pain at this time. The ultra sound and CT scann at hospital only showed the panrise is inflamed. They recomended to do Endoscopic ultra sound , which is scheduled for Feb.11th. What are the causes of the enzyme being high?
