Is It Normal To Get Late Period When Taking Femodette Pill?
Hi I know I'm just being paranoid and you'll probably tell me to stop worrying so early but I take femodette and did so before getting with my partner to regulate my periods so I know when I'm on my seven day break I will always come on the 4th day after taking my last pill. I was due on today but it hasn't yet arrived, my breasts have been tender as they usually are each month leading up to a period and my mood swings are apparent which is again normal when I'm due on so is it normal to be late when on the pill? I've been taking it for just over a year now so I'm worried incase my body has just gotten used to it and it is no longer effective.
Oral contraceptive pills are highly effective if used appropriately. Persons do not develop tolerance to this medication, once used properly it will work no matter how many years it is used.
There is a small risk of conception with any type of contraception. If you are concerned re the possibility that you may be pregnant then you should consider a home pregnancy test.
These are usually accurate and can determine pregnancy from day 11 to 14 after conception.
I hope this helps
