Is It Normal To Get Groin And Leg Pain Post Stenosis In Left Mid Superficial Femur Artery?

Sometime I can hardly walk on the leg that had severe Stenosis left mid superficial femur Artery. I bleed out during the procedure to open the artery. This procedure was done a year 1/2 ago. Is it common for the leg to hurt in the groin and down the leg after such a procedure? I limp when I walk. Thank you.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

I have studied your case history.

Yes such type of pain can be common after surgery.
It can be due to surgical complication.
Or it can be due to persistent stenosis in artery.

I will advise you to do colour doppler.
Continue your medication for bone healing like calcium and vit D.
Take diet rich in calcium and vitamin.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Take care.
