Otolaryngologist / ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hopefully she should be fine. unless the bleeding is from nose and profuse which will require urgent ENT intervention.
During tonsillitis, the tonsils are congested and swollen. Any effort to clear the throat may open up some blood vessels and start bleeding. Ask her to do repeated gurgles with warm saline so that the congestion reduces drastically.
She will require a course of antibiotics.
