Is It Normal For Children To Explore Their Bodies?

During a play date, we walked in to my daughter (almost 3) and her friend, a boy (4 1/2 years) completely naked in the play tent. We quickly dressed our own child and said to them we shouldn't play with our clothes off and that we should keep our private parts private. I have read a few articles and they all say it's normal for that age group, but I can't seem to feel at ease about it.

Hi, thanks for asking.
I can understand your concerns.
In my opinion what you have done is right. Teaching them the concept of private is very important. Although it is normal for them to explore their private parts, so no need to scold them for that. But it can be used to teach concept of private to the child.
I hope I have helped you
Thank you
