Is It Necessary To Have Milk Secretion From The Nipples During Pregnancy?

I am 24 years old and its my first pregnancy i m in 29thweek of pregnancy but yet i dont have feel any secretion (MILK like) in my breast ....is this i need to worried about .my breast looks slightly bigger n also the colour of nipples gets brown but dont show any sign of milk like secretion...plz tell me what should i do......thanks

Hi,

I understand your concern. Breast changes and discharge from breasts are normal during pregnancy and it happens during the second or third trimester of pregnancy. Enlargement of breasts, change in colour of nipples and milk like discharge happens in pregnancy due to hormonal changes taking place inside your body.

It is more pronounced during first pregnancy and there is absolutely nothing to be worried about it. Kindly follow the instructions as advised by your treating doctor and do the necessary follow-up as scheduled.
