Is It Necessary For A Mother To Wear A Mask When Caring For The New Born?

I am working on a policy for those rare occasions we have a mom who delivers while having shingles. Do you require at your health care facility for the mothers to wear a mask when caring for the newborn? I have all the other info regarding negative air rooms, handwashing, etc. for healthcare providers but am having trouble finding evidence based practice as to what the mother should do beyond handwashing. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

shingles as such is reactivation of old infection.....it does not spread by airborne droplets..........hence no need for the mother to wear a mask.
