Is It Good To Take Shelcal 500, Shelcal Hd, Omega D, Ultra D And Feronia XT During Pregnancy?

Hello Dr.
I am 14 week pregnant now Dr. has recomended me to take take following medicine
1)Shelcal 500
2)Shelcal Hd
3)omega D
4)Ultra D
5)Feronia XT
She had told me to take till 9 month of my preganacy .
I am worried that is it safe to consume so many medicine during preganancy.

Hi,
If your vitamin D3 levels are low, you would need additional supplements, but too many supplements are not needed provided you take proper diet and get ample sunlight exposure. The judgement remains with your obstetrician as your clinical condition is the criterion for the prescription. Iron supplements are needed from this stage of pregnancy as the needs of pregnancy are highest during the second trimester. Please have a discussion with your consultant as to the need of multiple vitamin D3 supplements. Wish you safe motherhood.
