Is It Due To Helix There Is A Swelling In Ear?

I have a friend that has a swollen ear. Looking on line at pictures of the ear, I think it s the helix. It has recently become more inflamed and is hot and soar to the touch. When he feels it, he explains it feels like liquid inside and parts are getting harder. Any thoughts?

Dear I think there is collection of fluid resulting in swelling and this could be due to trauma, insect bite or vigorous scratching of the pinna. This require surgical removal of the fluid and splinting to ensure that fluid doesn't collect again. Please visit any ENT specialist for proper examination and treatment
