Is It Common To Have Loose Stools After Azithral And Augmentin?

Hi,
My kid is 5yrs old.He had coughing and at night I showed him to one general doctor and she prescribed augmentin .Since his cough worsened the next day we went to his pediatrician and she prescribed azithral (200mg).I gave augmentin that night (13th night and 14th morning)and the next day morning.
Today after giving azithral he went for loose motion for 3 times. Is it common?
Now the medications for him are:
azithral
Levolin and cetrizine.
He is 15kgs in weight. Please advice.

Thanks for the query.
Both Augmentin and Azithromycin(azithral) or any other antibiotic may cause a severe intestinal condition (Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea) due to a resistant bacteria.
Blood in the diarrhea or watery diarrhea is a sign of this bacteria.
You can try giving probiotics.
Also anti-motility drugs, bismuth compounds can be given in severe cases after discussing with your doctor.
Hope i helped you.
