Is It Common To Have Breathlessness And Irreugular Heartbeat During Pregnancy?

hi i am 7 weeks pregnant. I have been experiencing breathlesness for about 4 weeks now and palpitations. I am aware I have an irregular heartbeat. Should I speak to my gp about this as a matter of urgency? or isnn t it anything to worry about? Thanks

Pregnancy is an hyper dynamic condition and hence experiencing slight palpitation and slight breathlessness is normal. However if you have suffered from irregular heart beats before pregnancy, now your heart has to be carefully evaluated for diagnosing serious heart disease which will have serious adverse effect both on the mother and baby. Hence kindly consult your family physician immediately.
