I think everyone at some time experiences this problem. If it is ongoing and is bothering you, then I would try to find the source. Usually some kind of stimulant is involved, example to much caffiene. If it continues I would seek the evaluation by a physician.

I am a healthy 28 year old female and suffer from anxiety. I work the night shift at a hospital, and every time I come home from work, I notice I have heart palpitations. Once I go to bed and relax, they start to go away. And then I usually don t experience them again until I come home from work the next morning. When I have days off, I don t normally get them. Only when I work night shift. I get more intense palpitations when it s been an extremely stressful night. They aren t as bad when the night has been less stressful. I m thinking it s anxiety, but not sure.
Hi. I am a male. As long as I can remember, i have experienced a sharp, burning chest pain that occurs randomly. It does not radiate and usually only lasts a few seconds. It is not brought on by exercise. I also occasionally experience palpitations. Sometimes, it feels like my heart stops and skips a beat and then continues. I also can feel my heartbeat sometimes and it beats fast and hard. My usual resting heart rate is about 103. My BP is about 128/76. I have panic attacks also. Occasionally, I feel lightheaded which usually only lasts for a few minutes and is followed by extreme anxiety. I sometimes get nauseous and have irregular bowel habits. Sometimes I am constipated and other times I have diarrhea. I have seen my doctor and had blood work and a EKG done. Palpitations did show up on the EKG but my doctor says they are not serious. Some people have suggested I have acid reflux. I seem to have some symptoms of MVP but I was never diagnosed with it.
I am 27 years old 5'5'' and weigh 225 17 weeks pregnant and have had previous heart surgery to correct a genetic heart defect known as hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy. I have been having heart palpitations sometimes 4-5 times a day the past few weeks so my cardiologist had me do a holter moniter. my question is can a holter cause a false quickening?
I m caring for my mother who has been diagnosed with CHF. They state that she is only using 16% of her heart. She is having episodes of extreme heat coupled with SOB and heart palpitations. We ve been treating with ice packs and increased 02, and tried some lorazepam, which she doesn t like to use because it makes her sleepy. She wants to know what causes these episodes and if Tylenol would help with the hot flash component of these episodes. Thank you!
