Is It Advisable To Take Norethisterone During Pregnancy?

my partner is pregnant and taking norethisterone as she has had misscarriages in the past but has come out in a rash/itchy after reading the leaflet she is worried with some of the info it gives ie do not take when pregnant? she has been prescribed these by our doctor

Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Norethisterone is not recommended during pregnancy as it may cause some congenital defects in the fetus, if taken for prolonged period during pregnancy.
She should get a detailed anomaly ultrasound at 18-20 weeks of pregnancy to rule out any major congenital anomaly and get appropriate management accordingly.
