Is It Advisable To Have Wine After Laparoscopic Hysterectomy?

Jusy got home from hospital from having a laparoscopic hysterectomy yesterday. My dad is making a huge dinner with bottles of red wine. He looked so hurt shen I gokd him I m not humgry and I should not be drinking wine.....however I cant find anything in writing on meds or paperwork that says that to support my claim. He says its a natural pain remedy. Is there any documentation I csn show him do he will believe me. I don t want to fo the wrong thing.

Hello,

You can safely take wine after hysterectomy.

It will not worsen your disease condition.

Keep in mind that wine may produce severe gastritis and you can take antacids like pantoprazole along with wine.
