Is It Advisable To Have Another Pregnancy If Last Pregnancy Was Complicated??
My question is whether it is advisable to have another pregnancy? I have 6 children born in 1990, 1996, 2000, 2005, 2006, 2008. I also have had 3 miscarriages in 1999, 2001,2007 two of these required d and c. My last pregnancy was a grade 4 placenta previa which required 2 blood transfusions due to low iron levels and also my daughter was born at 32week by cesarean section although afterwards we were both completely fit and healthy. All my previous pregnancies and deliveries have been normal.

Hello dear,i understand your concern.In my opinion further pregnancy can be planned even in case with previous complicated pregnancy.But with increase in the number of pregnancies the complications like anaemia,placenta praevia,post partum bleeding etc might increase.But with continuous monitoring the complications can be avoided.There should be a minimum gap of 2-3 years in between the pregnancies so that the body gets fit for the pregnancy.And there might be risk of recurrence of placenta praevia in 10-20 %.
