Is It Advisable To Go For A Sugar Level Check Up While Having Cold And Fever? Have Diabetes

Am a recent diabetic (type 2) ---noticed in June 2012-- and have been keeping blood sugar under control through exercise, diet & medication . am due to undergo master health check up. Is it advisable to get it done while having a severe cold with nose blocks and a touch of fever? Should I wait for this to clear up? krishnan sriram

diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder . when you have fever and cold your whole body metabolism is altered . and you are not in your usual diet pattern exercise pattern . so when all these are altered how can you go for a master health check up . so its better have treatment for all these ailments become normal with your daily activities and then go for a master checkup.
did you check your HbA1c when you are diagnosed in June 2012. if not do it with your master checkup which will give you lot of information. and wat is your age .
