Is It Advisable To Consume Alcohol After A Triple Bypass Surgery?

My dad had triple bypass surgery less than a month ago and is already drinking beer. I don t understand how this could be good for him. My mother said the doctor said it was fine but he drank 2 one night, at least 3 the next night and possibly the same amount the next. This isn t in moderation or just for special occasions so I m confused?? Can you help me understand ?

Moderate alcohol consumption is suppised to be good for heart but only if your father is taking it regularly and not in exessive amounts. He should not be taking more than 2 beers a day .
