the uterus is anteverted measuring 4.85 cm x3.35 cm x 5.02 cm (LWT). exhibiting a homogenous parenchymal echopattern. no focal mass lesions are seen. the endometrial cavity is trilaminar measuring 12.2 mm. the right and left ovaries measures 4.56x3.35x2.75 cm and 3.07x2.97x2.05 cm in diameter respectively. A 2.0 cm dominant follicle is noted in the right ovary. what is that mean doctor?

welcome to hcm ...your uterus and ovaries are absiloutely normal ..as far as domimant folloicle is concerned it is the typical feature of ovarian cycle ..in wach menstrual cycle a single ovarian follicle start developing and it releaaes ovum also called egg near 14 th day on ovulation ..this follicle is called dominant follicle ...size is as per day day of cycle ..
