Hi,

According to your history the fibroid may not be responsible for your symptoms. Because 18mm fibroid is a comparatively small size fibroid. Fibroids especially of larger size usually can lead to symptoms like heavy menstrual flow and dysmenorrhea. The symptoms you mentioned are non-specific for smaller size fibroid in general.

During perimenopausal age group because of the fall in the reproductive hormone levels symptoms like irregular periods, palpitations, hot flushes, etc. symptoms can be seen. Usually these symptoms will subside once the reproductive hormonal levels become steadily low after menopause. Meanwhile, better to undergo investigations like hemoglobin levels, blood sugar levels, thyroid profile, ECG, etc. to rule out other possible causes for these types of symptoms.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
