Is Intubation The Cause For Numbness And Pain In The Hands?
I was intubated after a blood clot removal went very wrong. I woke up 3 weeks later in the I.C.U. with my hands numb, vey painful & cold. I went in for an over night procedure with perfectly working hands. After 41 days in the hospital, I was sent home with the same numb & painful feeling & no answers. I have been under going O.T. without any change. Could being intubated have caused this?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Varinder's Response
Hi
Greetings from HealthcareMagic
Intubation might not have caused your problem but as you were in ICU for a long time. Abnormal posture of neck might have caused this . So undergo cervical spine X-ray. You may take a neurotonic till investigation .
If you have any further query then you can come back to HCM I will definitely .
