Is Inflamation Seen In Xray Indicative Of Pneumonia?
im 20yr old.5'3height and 51weight.In my x-ray there had a findings of inflammatory process at right upper lobe.PTB is suspected..then we went from the doctor and she consult me for the sputum exam and the result is negative..in my TBDC the other findings of doctor is pneumonia.
X-ray findings suggests infection in right upper lobe.It may be due to both pneumonia or tuberculosis.
It is important to rule out infective etiology. You need further tests to confirm tuberculosis. You need routine hemogram, mantoux test.PCR can be done if needed.PCR will confirm tuberculosis. Empirically full course of broad spectrum antibiotics should be prescribed first. If findings are due to pneumonia then it will clear with antibiotics. Proper treatment depend upon findings.
