Is High Level Of Stress The Cause For Red Eyes?

Hi, I ve been to 2 docs so far but no luck yet. My eyes are very red. No eye drops work. Very expensive eye drops with cortisone even don t work. We started me on a stress/tension reliever just yesterday. It is possible that high levels of stress can cause very red eyes? My ears are red as well.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I have read your description and understand your concern.
Anxiety and stress could sometimes manifest in the form of red eyes and ears.
Kindly get your blood pressure checked by consulting a Physician. In case it is more, you may need suitable medications to bring it down to normal and keep it under control. Also, continue to practice meditation, which would help you to keep your stress away and your mind healthy.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
