Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 52 year old female - I have had a head cold for the past couple of days. My concern is that this afternoon I have been feeling worse. my left shoulder, upper arm and neck have been having pain and discomfort and occasionally in my upper chest. I just took my blood pressure and it was 158/103 in my left arm and 154/97 in my right arm- I took it again and the next time it was 151/105. Should I be concerned or is the high blood pressure typical with a sinus/head cold?
Hi, It seems that your problem might be due to high blood pressure and not merely due to cold. Your blood pressure is high and advice to keep record and consult your doctor. If your blood pressure remains high, go for investigations and treatment. Meanwhile take cold medicine to get sympotmatic relief. Take less salt and avoid fried and junk food. Ok and take care.
