Is Herniated Disc Related With Back Pain?

I have had a kidney ultrasound liver test both of comeback normal still having flank back pain have had kidney infections and been on anabiotic s but they say this is not a kidney infection what is wrong with me? Wondering if it s a herniated disc because I am having lower back pain. Could your hips be out of place in that affect the rest of your spine?
