General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Change in menstrual pattern can be due to illness, weakness, psychological or physical anxiety or hormonal imbalance. Till the time the ovulation precedes menstruation, pregnancy is possible, even if menstrual bleeding is lessened. Hence, you need to consult a gynecologist to check you,get you investigated to ascertain the normality of periods and give you needful medication for menstrual health.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
