Is Giving Trileptal Advisable While On Keppra And Clopizen To A Child?

My 7 year old grandaughter has night seizures. She is on Kepra and Clopizan. They just put her on Trileptal intending for it to replace the Clopizam. For the moment she is on all 3. She just started to expenience a side effect of falling. Her legs apparently give out on her. Should she come off of the Trileptal?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is likely the combination of the three medications not specifically the trileptal.
Most anti seizure medications can potentially cause dizziness, drowsiness and issues with balance. With three medications, this risk would be increased.

You should discuss the issues that she is having with her doctor to see if any specific changes are needed.

I hope this helps
