Is Giving Acetaminophen Safe For High Fever In Children?
hi, my son is 2 months old, almost 3 months and is running a high fever, its not bad enough that he need urgent medical care but enough that its bothering him. i dont have any baby tylenol but i do have Childrens Acetaminophen. Would that be safe to give my son and if so what dose do i give him?
Understanding your concern. As per your query your son is suffering from high fever which seems to be due to viral or bacterial infection. It could be due to urinary tract infection. Do tepid sponging as well to lower down fever. I would suggest you to visit general physician once and get it examined. You should get blood tests done and start treatment after proper diagnosis and prescription. Take diet rich in fresh juices and fruits. Drink plenty of water and fluids. You can give child baby acetaminophen if he is not allergic to it. You should take anti-allergic medication along with proper course of antibiotic along with Ibuorofen.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
