Is Genette Medicine Best For Pcod When Trying To Get Pregnant?

I am pcod patient so i have been taking tab genette 35 as suggested by my doctor for 2.5 years. i got married recently, now am planning for my first baby. my doctor suggested to continue genette 35 till 2 cycles and then go for test for folical study and take t goodova on 2nd or 3rd day of my cycle. is this right treatment which i am undergoing? Please suggest.

Hi, thanks for writing HCM..
Tab genette 35 is oral contracetive pill which can also be used for regularising your periods. Since you have been using it for 2.5 yrs without a break, I feel it can be discontinued with the end of this cycle. You can try for spontaneous conception for a period of 1 year before taking medication. But if u are too anxious to get pregnant soon then you can take goodova 50 on day 2 of cycle for 5 days and follow up with follicular study on day 11,13,15 to see for ovulation. Intercourse in and around the ovulation time is required. prior to all these get your husband's semen analysis should be done.. Folic acid should be taken continuously.
