Is Flying Safe After Removal Of Tonsils And Adenoids?

Hi, my 10 yr old son will be getting his tonsils/ adenoids and a couple of lymphniods removed. We must fly 30 minutes to and from hospital for surgery. Will the flying bring on bleeding? We live 15 minutes away from our local hospital if there is a problem

General Surgeon 's  Response
After surgery for tonsils and adenoids, the surgeon would keep you son under observation till he is convinced that there is no bleeding or any problem at the operated site. Once he is discharged form hospital, it is safe to fly back home. Please let your son continue with the medications which the surgeon would be prescribing.
