Is Fistula Symptomatic With Recurring Abscess On The Hip Region?

Sir, I have a boil (abscess) on my left hip 3 cm away from anus. There is recurring of it with puss and sometimes very little blood. After course of antibiotics it heals but again it recurs. Doctor tells it may be fistula, please help me to diagnose.

For recurrent abscess you have to exclude a fistula .
The best test is MRI Scan of the rectum to better define the fistula track
They often arise from an abscess in an infected anal gland.
Anal fistulas are also associated with other conditions like Crohn's disease is Tuberculosis ,diverticulitis ,and Radiation therapy
the definite treatment is only surgery and treating the underlying cause
the best surgeon is a colo rectal surgeon to do this type of surgery.If you dont have one nearby any Specialist General surgeon can do the surgery
